It’s Volunteer’s Week running from 1st to 7th June and we’re celebrating the amazing volunteers that help our member providers give care and support to the people that need it the most.

Royal Star and Garter also got in touch to let us know about some new volunteers, Christine, Sally and Flt Sgt Martin who have signed up to support veterans.

Ambient Support are also supporting Volunteers’ Week as two of their volunteers have been nominated for Vollywood Awards! Tim Crocker, pictured below, is up for a Lifetime Achievement award and provides encouragement, emotional support and kindness at Branching Out, Ambient’s horticultural project that gives people who have lived experience of mental health the opportunity to use gardening to have a positive impact on their mental and physical wellbeing.  

Making Space have also been celebrating in their various centres around the country. In Warrington, volunteers have been lending their green-fingered skills t improve outdoor spaces and also helping out in the cafe as a way of contributing to the community and look like they’re really having fun doing it too!

Well done to all our members and their wonderful volunteers who make a huge difference, not just during this celebrator week but every day of the year!
