NCF ‘Here to Care’ Confidence Campaign

NCF’s Here To Care campaign ran from July to September 2020 to help profile the amazing work staff, carers and care providers are doing in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

24 hours a day, seven days a week care home providers and our professional care home staff have continued to provide care under the most challenging of circumstance. They – like their amazing colleagues in health – have done this with compassion, providing a lifeline for the most vulnerable across all our communities, ensuring care settings continue to be places where people thrive.

Checklist to help people navigate care home choices during COVID-19

The need for care doesn’t stop in a pandemic, but COVID-19 means there are additional considerations when choosing a care home for yourself or a loved one.  We have launched a checklist guide  to help those choosing a care setting to navigate decisions during COVID-19.  It sets out the questions to ask and things to consider, to give you peace of mind when choosing a place to call home.

We are inviting our members to share this checklist on websites and social media, as well as for use as part of their response to new enquiries.  You can download the NCF checklist here.

Media coverage

During the campaign period, we have generated 352 pieces of media coverage of which over 240 pieces were directly related to Here To Care including 65 pieces of broadcast coverage on TV and Radio with an ‘Opportunity to See’ of over 78 million. The coverage achieved has been both local and national coverage.
