We are delighted to announce that Ann West, our dedicated Service Manager at The White House is a Finalist in the Housing with Care Awards 2023 for a Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the whole team are also finalists for the Care Team of the Year Award!

The Housing with Care Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in accommodation and services for integrated retirement communities, people with learning disabilities and people with mental health problems, retirement villages, assisted living, extra care housing and supported living and shared lives schemes.

The winners of each category in the Housing with Care Awards 2023 will be announced at an awards ceremony on 9th June in London.

The White House

The team of carers at The White House show genuine love and dedication for those they care for. The White House is a loving, happy home that provides 24-hour care and support for nine adults with a learning disability living together in tenanted accommodation in Maghull, Merseyside.

The working culture of The White House is that of treating all those that live there as an extension of the team’s own family and involving the families of the residents in this extended household.

The brother of a resident at The White House said:

“It’s always wonderful arriving at The White House and finding my brother looking so well and nicely dressed. I love hearing about his travels and seeing photos. Trips to Edinburgh and The Fjords looked fantastic, not to mention Benidorm! He loves getting out and about. I’m so grateful he gets multiple trips a year. A really huge thank you for making this happen.”
