Miriam Levin, Director of Participatory Programmes, Demos

Miriam Levin was the Chief Executive of Engage Britain until their merger with Demos, Britain’s leading cross-party think tank. She is now Director of Participatory Programmes at Demos. Prior to that she was Engage Britain’s Programme Director and led their work to build solutions to health and care challenges from the grassroots up. 

Miriam has also worked for the UK government as Head of Community Action, where she led the government’s first deliberative democracy programme, and was Head of Outreach at English Heritage. 

 

Ola Lagunju, storyteller, activist and social scientist

Ola is a storyteller, activist and social scientist who is interested in liberating the freedom of the human spirit and helping people be seen, heard and understood in organisations and society.  She specialises in bringing unconventional and sometimes messy thinking to the world of diversity, inclusion and belonging and brings simple lenses and language to enable people to experiment and make their own unique discoveries. 

Ola has a deep expertise in human systems dynamics, organisation development and organisational culture and as a trained biochemist and bio pharmacist, brings the curiosity and experimental philosophies of a scientist to her work.    She has worked with the likes of Starbucks, UBS, Sky, BP, The Guardian, HSBC, Oxfam, Network Rail and the NHS and is a visiting faculty on a number of culture change and leadership educational programmes.
