This document details the nationality status of the adult social care workforce . Information presented here from was derived from Skills for Care’s workforce estimates and from the National Minimum Dataset for Social Care (NMDS-SC) , which holds information on around 23,000 care-providing establishments and 730,000 adult social care jobs.

Skills for Care estimate that around 12% of the EU workers (in the sector as at the end of 2015) arrived in the UK during 2015. Therefore, of the 80,000 EU workers in the sector as at 2015, around 10,000 arrived in the previous 12 months.
