My Life TV is the first video-on-demand TV channel for people living with dementia.
It’s like Netflix with content specifically curated for their cognitive needs, keeping people living with dementia engaged and connected to the world.
It’s a fantastic tool for caregivers and activity coordinators-
- Keeping residents occupied with meaningful activities.
- Enhancing therapeutic provision, supporting exercise and enabling social connection.
- Providing opportunities for respite or delivery of care.
- Programmes can help improve mood, quality of life and care, and help address agitation, anxiety and apathy.
Building on research, My Life TV collaborates with prestigious partners including British Film Institute, British Pathé with the programmes chosen for the cognitive needs of people with mid to late-stage dementia.
There is a vast choice of content. Slow TV – cruise the Fjords, relax with the gardeners at Kew Gardens, watch kittens playing or enjoy wildlife watching in the Royal Parks.
Also we have feel-good content with laughter videos and funny animals and engaging content to encourage movement and interaction such as chair yoga, sing-alongs, chair yoga and music therapy.
For reminiscence there are childhood memory films from the BFI, programmes about Royalty and history programmes.
My Life TV also creates content – bespoke quizzes, carefully timed between question and answer, sing-alongs to popular songs, chair yoga, music therapy with Intergenerational Music Making.
