The DLF has been delivering a programme of CPD courses to the health and social care industry for over 20 years and is one of the founding members of the Trusted Assessor Framework.
We are the leading provider of trusted, impartial advice and information on daily living equipment in the UK and run a range of training courses for those working with disabled and elderly people, which help ensure that person centred care is delivered within best practice guidelines.
In our face-to-face courses we focus on practical hands-on scenarios, using a wide range of equipment, and we have developed an evolving suite of online and blended learning courses to suit the needs of learners within an ever changing world.
Trusted Assessor Courses
Developed over 25 years ago and continually adapted and updated to meet the needs of our learners, our popular range of courses has expanded since its inception.
Originally designed to increase minor equipment and adaptation provision in the community to encourage safe and independent living, DLF training has continued this successful program and increased its reach into other essential areas. DLF Training continues to develop new courses to meet market needs.
Courses range across a number of different levels and can be accredited or non-accredited. We are also able to build bespoke training courses for commissioners, to meet your needs and provide your staff with the knowledge they need.
Moving and Handling Courses
A must for all professionals, our suite of moving and handling courses will meet all your clinical needs. We have developed specialist courses in areas such as plus sized persons and single-handed care, as well as refreshers and a range of other useful courses.
DLF Training’s courses are CPD accredited. Trainees are presented with a Certificate of Attendance to attach to their CPD log as evidence of development once training is complete.
You can view the wide range of training courses available throughout the country here.

Many of the 10,000 products featured on DLF’s Living Made Easy marketplace can be purchased by clicking-though directly to one of around 1,000 retailers listed with us. Our AskSARA tool offers a rapid-access reliable route to choosing suitable solutions. Users are provided with impartial tailored advice written by OTs and always directed to seek a formal assessment when their answers indicate that is the safe option – that way it acts as a front-door triage service reducing the burden on OT waiting lists.
Our newly designed mobile-responsive AskSARA reaches people using a variety of devices, broadening its reach and its new streamlined look makes it easier to use.
We passionately believe that people’s choices about where to live and what to do can often be enabled by often simple aids and minor adaptations. Our role is to reduce the risk of poor product selection and provide the confidence that choosers need to self-purchase.
