At Towergate, we strive to provide the best possible service to our clients. Our dedicated team of insurance broking professionals understand the specific needs of Social Care providers and can help a range of businesses, from small domiciliary care start-ups to multi-site care home groups. We have worked closely as a partner with National Care Forum since 2004 and in that time, we have developed an in-depth understanding of their members’ needs and the challenges that they face.
Towergate and National Care Forum
NCF and Towergate have a longstanding and effective partnership spanning with Richard Hearn for three decades. During the last year, driven by the pressures of the pandemic the relationship has strengthened. Towergate has provided direct support to NCF and its members with Richard Hearn and Carolyn Baker-Mellor offering objective advice on insurance choices, bringing insights to the whole of the NCF network helping to understand trends and opportunities, and provided an expert voice in conversations with wider stakeholders in government. – Helen Glasspool, National Care Forum
We can provide insurance for:
- Care groups
- Domiciliary care providers
- Supported and sheltered homes
- Individual care homes
It is important to understand that most insurance policies will contain either an exclusion or significant restrictions around ‘communicable disease’, following the Coronavirus pandemic.
Changes to the sector due to coronavirus
Towergate can provide cover from a variety of A-Rated insurers across the market, meaning that even though the market has significantly shrunk in the past 12 months, as specialist brokers, we can be of assistance in finding the right solution for you. We suggest looking at your renewal terms 90 days before the renewal date, so you have as much time to find a policy that is right for you. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we also saw increases on premium throughout 2020 and expect this to be the case for 2021 as well.
“Towergate has represented the insurance interest of The Orders of St John Care Trust since 2004. They are honest, reliable and professional in all aspects of their dealings with the Trust and offer personalised support and competitive products. Their knowledge of our sector is second to none and claims and enquiries are always dealt with quickly and effectively” –Dan Hayes, Orders of St John Care Trust
