Recently guidance on workers vulnerable to COVID-19 has been updated to include BAME, age, disability and sex. It is recommended that those working in care consider these new points when analysing who in their workforce may potentially be at higher risk of contracting COVID-19, or of becoming more unwell if they do contract COVID-19.
In response to the change in guidance, QCS, the leading compliance management system for the healthcare sector has created a step by step guide to producing a Vulnerable Staff Group Risk Assessment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The assessment has been designed to be carried out in discussion with staff, recognising some elements will require sensitive discussions.
The risk assessment includes; the eight vulnerable staff groups checklist, key terms for a risk assessment and the steps to carrying out a vulnerable staff group risk assessment. Learn more here
