Neurological observations are used to determine the neurological status of an individual who is at risk of deterioration or has an altered state of consciousness. This course will demonstrate how to conduct neurological observations and use the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS).

This is an Advancing course on the Altura Learning Pathway and is recommended for clinical staff working in social care.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

✔️Explain what a neurological assessment is
✔️Identify when to complete neurological observations
✔️Demonstrate how to conduct neurological observations and use the Glasgow Coma Scale
