Matt Peters is the latest addition to leading Care Homes meals producer, apetito. Having spent the last six years at Lucknam Park Hotel, the experienced Pastry Chef of 15 years joins the ever-growing team at apetito and is looking forward to developing and introducing a range of tempting desserts to the company’s Care Homes’ customers across the country.
The career change is one which Matt, 34, has embraced:
“Having experienced what life was like in more of a development role further to involvement in apetito’s Culinary Inspirations project last year, I was fascinated by the processes that we underwent to ensure the highest quality of standards were met when it came to developing and producing meals.
“I’m truly delighted to be joining Phil Rimmer and the talented team of chefs and to have the opportunity to build on the current range of desserts that our care home customers’ enjoy”.
Currently in the concept phase of desserts development, Matt has been experimenting with a variety of tray bakes and conducting trials, at apetito’s kitchens in Wiltshire.
He concludes:
“At apetito I have the opportunity to apply and implement what I’ve learned over the years to an entirely different environment. It’s a steep learning curve and one I’m really enjoying”.
