Not-for-profit quality care for over 25 years

Open day at Friends of the Elderly Malvern Championing Care Home Open Week 2023

To celebrate and support this year’s Care Home Open Week, the care teams at Malvern-based Davenham, Perrins House and Bradbury Court, the residential, nursing and dementia care homes – collectively known as Friends of the Elderly Malvern – will be hosting an Open Day on Wednesday 28th June. The Open Day will be a great way for the care teams to give visitors, prospective residents and respite guests the opportunity to see and experience the expansive, varied range of activities and great facilities on offer at all three care homes.

Friends of the Elderly Malvern actually has four services on the site. In addition to Davenham, Perrins House and Bradbury Court, Malvern Day Care Service is also located on the campus. With a person-focused approach to care, Friends of the Elderly Malvern care homes are charming and picturesque situated in beautiful grounds – and all deliver high quality, bespoke personalised care to their residents, respite guests and clients’ individual needs.

Open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday 28th June, Friends of the Elderly Malvern’s care team will be on hand to give visitors guided tours across all three care homes. Visitors will be able to see, first-hard, the variety of activities each care home has to offer, and they will also have the opportunity to take part as well.

Alongside the tours and activities, in the afternoon Friends of the Elderly Malvern will have live performances by singer Ray Mitton – a regular entertainer at the care homes – for residents and visitors to enjoy. Everyone will also be able to tuck into delicious ice creams at Perrins House and tea, coffee and tasty cakes in the Chapel at Davenham.

Talking about the Open Day, Suzanne Park, the Registered Manager at Davenham said: “Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on 28th June, we will be opening the doors to all our three care homes and hosting a great interactive and inclusive open day.”

“The Open Day will be the perfect opportunity for visitors to experience life at Friends of the Elderly Malvern and see the care team in action as they deliver individualised bespoke, person-centred care to each resident and respite guest,” added Emily Blake, the Unit Manager at Bradbury Court.

The Open Day is a great opportunity for everyone at Friends of the Elderly Malvern to showcase what each care home has to offer; albeit it residential care, nursing care or dementia care. The care teams will be demonstrating their high standards of bespoke, individualised care, which will give visitors the chance to not only meet the care team but ask questions and find out more about each care home.

“At Friends of the Elderly Malvern, each member of the care team is dedicated to providing exceptional care to support those we care for to live well in later life. The Open Day will be a perfect chance for visitors, prospective residents, respite guests and their families to see, for themselves, what we do and what we deliver,” concluded Rachel Wilson, the Registered Manager at Perrins House.
