Heather has ten years of experience in the health and social care sector, with a strong focus on digital innovation, training, and service improvement. Prior to joining NCF, they played a vital role in the roll out of digitalisation across 11 care homes, supporting the transition from paper-based systems to digital care planning, medication recording, and AI tools for pain management. They also spent several years delivering and developing training programmes for care staff, with a particular focus on embedding digital confidence across teams.
Heather joined the NCF in August 2025, They will be leading on the delivery of a number of national digital projects which supports the digitalisation of the adult social care sector. Current national projects include the Care Technologist Training project funded by the Rayne Foundation, the Digital Leadership Programme and the provision of a regional coordination role for the Better Security, Better Care programme in the Northwest and Southeast region. Heather will also lead on additional digital projects within the NCF.
Heather is passionate about social care and supporting the workforce to embrace technology that enhances care quality, efficiency, and outcomes.
