Dan is a home-grown CEO promoted through OSJCT over a career spanning almost 16 years to date.
After studying for an HND in Business Management and a post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management, Dan initially joined the NHS in the Human Resources team. His HR career in the NHS included community mental healthcare, acute care and hospital closures.
After short stints working for Lincolnshire Police and in the University sector, Dan joined OSCJT as HR Manager in 2003. Having worked hard with the then HR Director, Dan helped to establish a HR function fit to serve the 2,000 employees whom the Trust employed at that time.
After four years in HR, Dan took a secondment into Regional Operations for Oxfordshire. The secondment was successful, and Dan moved on to become the County Director at the end of 2008, then Operations Director for the Trust in 2011.
Dan took on his current role of Chief Executive Officer from September 2015.
In his role as CEO, Dan has continued to retain very close links with all of the services operated by OSJCT and particularly with his colleagues who work and manage those services. He has a strong belief in lobbying for, and on behalf of, residents and workers in Social Care who can be overlooked and undervalued by the world at large. Additionally, because of his own experience at the Trust, Dan is also a strong advocate of progression from within for all colleagues at OSJCT.
