Not-for-profit quality care for over 25 years

HUR bring elder exercise, rehab and wellness solutions to Global Ageing Conference

The National Care Forum (NCF) – the leading association for not-for-profit social care and support organisations are pleased to announce that HUR, a Finnish manufacturer of exercise, rehab and wellness solutions for older people have signed up as silver sponsor and exhibitor at the Global Ageing Conference in Glasgow in September. HUR will also sponsor the keynote address.

Conference delegates attending the event at the Scottish Event Campus on 7th and 8th September, can expect to see some of HUR’s pneumatic strength training products including wheelchair accessible equipment at the exhibition. The equipment starts from almost zero loading and increases in 100g or 1kg increments, making it suitable for the active ageing market.

Anssi Lipsonen, Sales Director for HUR said: “The Global Ageing Conference is a fantastic opportunity for HUR and our UK distributors, SportsMed Products, to showcase some of the world leading evidence-based strength and balance training equipment on the market. We are incredibly excited to invite all delegates to come and speak to us on how we can help our residents maintain physical activity as they age.

The Chief Medical Officer’s physical activity guidelines currently recommend strength training twice a week for over 65’s but unfortunately much of the fitness industry is not suitable for those with less mobility and strength. Research shows however it is not too late to take action.”

Professor Vic Rayner, CEO of National Care Forum commented: “I have no doubt that HUR will bring fantastic perspectives to the Global Ageing Conference on the importance of physical activity in later life. We are pleased to be able to add their expertise to our impressive and expert lineup of exhibitors and speakers.

“With registration closing on 17th August we encourage any social care and support providers who have not already booked their delegate places to do so at https://globalageing2023.com/delegate-registration/ without delay to avoid disappointment and look forward to seeing you all in Glasgow very soon!”
