Andrew Johnston - Veteran

Andrew spent 20 years in the Coldstream Guards before being discharged for medical reasons in 1996, having contracted Multiple Sclerosis. He spent 2 years as an equerry to the Queen and worked on the Plans and Programme staff in the Ministry of Defence during Options for Change, a major change programme after which he was awarded the MBE. Since then, he has been an independent consultant working with clients in defence, health and business management.

Frances Swinnock

Frances is an expert by experience. She is a member of the award-winning Ambient Guardian group and is helping to improve the quality of the support provided to people supported by Ambient through helping to plan, review and by giving feedback based on her knowledge and expertise. She has recently worked alongside the Quality Team to help share information in more accessible formats.

Jason Jones
Ambient Guardian, Ambient Adventurer & Quality Checker
Jason is an experienced Quality Checker & has supported Ambient to improve the quality of the care they provide through Quality Check audits for 7 years. Jason is a founding member of the award winning Ambient Guardian Group & the learning and action group -Adventurers. He has an active role in helping to improve the quality of the care provided to people we support by providing feedback, helping to plan, review or making suggestions based on his lived expertise.

Chris Maddocks
Ambassador, Alzheimer’s Society, The Lewy Body Society, and the National Activity Providers Association
Chris is a retired Police Officer. In 2016, at the age of 60 Chris was diagnosed with early onset Vascular dementia and then also been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body dementia. Chris describes herself as a dementia activist, educating others about the realities of living with the condition.
Chris sits on the Steering Group for the 3 Nations Dementia Working Groups is Ambassador for a number of charities.

Paula Fairweather
Member of the TLAP National Co-production Advisory Group
Paula has spent the past 14 years accessing health and social care, due to multiple long term health conditions, and a daily varying debilitating disability. Her experiences have led me to inspire change through co-production. Paula believes we have a duty to live the best life we can. She needs to have people in her life who care about her and support Paula to make constructive changes needed within our communities. Paula has been involved with several projects and organisations working to coproduce change in various ways. To enable this Paula advocates the need to encourage bottom-up leadership, build confidences, share knowledge and encourage participation.
