The Southend on Sea Darby & Joan Organisation consists of two Residential Care Homes in Westcliff-on-Sea.

We provide long term, respite and emergency care placements for the elderly, frail and those with living with Dementia.
We welcome residents from all over the Southend Area as well as those from the wider Essex area and London Boroughs.

The Southend-on-Sea Darby & Joan Organisation is a charity formed in 1947 for the sole purpose of providing care to the elderly. As such our homes are run for the benefit of our residents and are not for profit.

At our Residential Care Homes we care for residents who require basic assistance with activities of daily living through to those with more complex needs and those living with Dementia.

Our aim is to provide within our Residential Care Homes the best possible care and affection in a friendly and informal environment. We want our residents to live as normal and as full a life as they desire. We wish to ensure their individuality, freedom of choice and personal dignity are respected at all times.

At the heart of our Residential Care Homes is our staff teams, dedicated to supporting our residents to live a full and happy life with us. Both of our staff teams benefit from extensive training and development to enhance their skills and abilities to support our residents.

Our Care Home Managers also have an open door policy which means they are available to speak with relatives and residents on a day to day basis to share information or any concerns.
