Buxton House, a friendly residential and dementia care home set in the heart of the Weymouth community, has welcomed new manager, Ellen Masterson to the home.
Ellen has worked in the care sector for many years and was a Home Manager for eight years at a dementia care home near to Basingstoke. Ellen and her husband relocated to Weymouth in the summer and, following enjoying the costal lifestyle and renovating their new home, joined Buxton House as the new Home Manager.
Ellen brings extensive experience with her, including years of managing advocacy services and supporting adults and children with learning difficulties, mental health issues and people living with dementia.
Aaron Whitehead, Director of Residential Care at Care South, commented: “We are excited to have Ellen join our wonderful team at Buxton House. Her years of knowledge, experience and passion for care has already been welcomed greatly at the home. Buxton House has a fantastic team who are looking forward to seeing Ellen blossom in her new role.”
Ellen Master, Home Manager added: “I love my work because I love people. I am always interested to find out other people’s lives and their achievements, and all the residents have wonderful stories to tell. It fascinates me to learn about the varied lives people have lived and how the world has changed.
I am looking forward to getting to know the residents, their families and the whole team at Buxton House.”
