We’re on fire when it comes to training!

Across Oaklea Group we have been updating our fire safety today – by getting a refresher on how to stay safe and using fire extinguishers.

Ian Berry has all angles covered & years of experience in the Fire Service having served in both Barrow & Kendal Fire Stations. Now he is all about prevention – offering training to organisations like Oaklea & Right2Work. New legislation was introduced in 2005 for mandatory fire training following the deaths of people at a care home in Scotland. Responsibility starts with us…

Last month Ian also took some of our Barrow based employees through the training.

Team Manager, Zoe Jones: “We had fire extinguisher training in Barrow with Ian for staff and some of our customers. It was excellent – fun and learning at the same time and putting ourselves and customers safety first.”
