Parkhaven Trust is calling for donations towards their Big Garden Fundraiser this summer.
All funds raised will go towards purchasing seeds, plants and planters as well as gardening equipment and furniture to help their clients and residents enjoy the outdoors.
Parkhaven Trust is a charity and a leader in dementia care services based in Maghull.
Kim Crowe, Chief Executive at Parkhaven Trust said: “It is well documented that getting fresh air and light can help to reduce stress levels and agitation; anything as little as 10 to 15 minutes outdoors can be highly beneficial, especially for someone living with dementia.
We are keen to support our residents and clients to get outside as often as possible; the Big Garden Fundraiser will help us support people to do just that.”
“We are also calling for any unwanted seeds plants and gardening equipment. Our local community are always very generous and we greatly appreciate all donations.”
All monetary donations can be made via www.parkhaven.org.uk alternatively, bring donations of plants etc. to Parkhaven Trust’s HQ building on Liverpool Rd South; between 9-5 Monday to Friday.
