Oaklea & Right2Work Weekly Update

Welcome again to celebrating some of what we have been up to via our respective websites and beyond!

https://www.oakleatrust.co.uk/news/ & https://www.right2work.org.uk/news/

This week it’s all about…well we’re very much ‘To the MANOR born

  • Witch is Which? – get involved or get spooked!

  • Express service with Leon the pizza based engine

  • “Pet Sounds” – How #HAF2023 went down well in Eden

  • Des hits the spot on his special day!

  • and more….just don’t miss your train….

We’re just a few weeks away from Halloween – and traditionally our employees & customers have gone pumpkin crazy!  (A reminder from a year ago here https://www.oakleatrust.co.uk/ppppp-pick-up-a-pumpkin/) Plus you can see our Durham customers above getting into the spirit big time!

Well Danielle Hannan from Manor Barn – no stranger to getting excited about special occasions – says her house is already getting ready -and she’s thrown down the gauntlet to the rest of Oaklea/R2W! You have been warned….

Best in show….

Good boy(s)……and girls! – It’s a jungle out there in the Eden Valley

Over the summer at Oaklea we had a packed programme of #HAF2023 activities – well our dear colleagues at the Right2Work Appleby Hub did too! They also had to contend with their big refurbishment that was underway as well…so we’ve finally caught up with them to see what their youngsters got up to with the Hub Team on their #HAF sessions…

They also had a grand finale – with a cracking VIP trip to Penrith cinema to see the original Jungle Book – how good is that!

Staying in – The new going out!

Ready for anything!

Bit of a wet weekend just gone…so some of our folks in Barrow made the most of it…..staying in is the new going out!

Some lovely snaps from our Registered Manager for FurnessSue ‘Milly’ Millington; “Well the rains arrived in Barrow by the bucket load so some of our people decided to go out for a Sunday roast. From Angila’s face you can she is up for it and Mark is trying to calm his excitement by chilling with a jigsaw. Robert was getting ready in ‘best bib n tucker’ for a Sunday lunch special at the Ferry Hotel.”

Very dapper Robert…& we could all do with some of Angila’s joy!

The Oaklea mission: “To support and care for people and communities so they can learn, develop and thrive”

Think these 3 lovely peeps tick all these!

555 reasons to go 4 the view!

R2W Future Choices now stopping at Bowness for life skills & independent travel!

Ben ‘HM’ Honey tells us why:

“We started at Station House by talking about our previous experiences visiting Windermere and what we were looking forward to on our trip. We then walked to Kendal Bus Station to take the 555 to Windermere. A short walk down to Bowness Pier, going part of the way through Windermere Town centre and partly through a woodland walk, filling in an A-Z of things we noticed on our day out. We had lunch at the pier, enjoying the view over the lake, before getting to Kendal.”
