It’s a good sign – Hub Cafe is back!
Well what a day Wednesday was!
It marked the long awaited re-opening of the Right2Work Appleby Hub community enterprise. This followed a much anticipated summer re boot par excellence.
Oaklea Group CEO Clive made the cut…..
Too much to tell -so go here -where you will find 3 videos and more – with thoughts from Hub Manager Sarah, & Oaklea/R2W Board member Linda plus Crafty supremo Jane gives us a tour of the new look Hub Craft Shop….
Still no sign of the cake……last seen with Clive…!
None of this would’ve been achieved without the support of the community and the team at the Hub – you are all LEGENDS! Don’t take our word for it – Sarah Jones says so!
Dotti on another PLANIT
We are busy thinking about what goes in our Annual Report – it will be a joint Oaklea/Right2Work opus this year…
One of the key elements we will be highlighting is the digitisation of social care. How this has made lives easier for both customers & employees.
It’s the iplanit system. It’s a care planning software solution designed to help care providers evolve beyond “time and task” approaches to an outcomes-focused, person-centred offer.
This week we caught up with shy retiring Dotti Gibbons (and well known Oaklea/R2W regular Kelvin) to see how it works in the real world…step by step!

As regular readers will know by now – our Tik Tok Channel is essentially a NE TV channel – yet no licence required!
Well guess what – our plucky North Easterners have been making the most of the heatwave (again!). Customers Digby (Head of Ice Cream procurement), Laura, Pauline & Caroline were beach bound.
The trip made possible by Seaside Fancies Support – Kendra, Charlotte, Stacey & Janet.

Joined up training
The latest Autism Training for Oaklea employees has taken place. Here you can see some of our South Lakes Support Team who took part.
The training is based on the SPELL framework developed by the National Autistic Society.
Pete Embling, Training Supremo: “The National Autistic Society’s Autism and SPELL course is a two-day interactive course that aims to provide an understanding of how the SPELL framework can support autistic people.”
