It’s National Apprenticeship Week (more here https://naw.appawards.co.uk/) 6th-12th February -and here at Oaklea we are celebrating it the best way – by meeting one of our success stories!
Oaklea Apprentice Academy
Niamh Caffrey is the latest addition to our Oaklea Apprentice Academy (more on this here https://www.oakleatrust.co.uk/progressing-at-oaklea/) which we run in conjunction with our good friends at Kendal College.
Before Christmas, Niamh had been on placement at our Learning2Live project in Windermere and is now working with those we support across Kendal. You can see her busy getting stuck into various tasks – and enjoying the company of Terry, Des & Alan!
Working in social care – you learn so much. Niamh spending time with Des as he shows her all his mementoes linked to his favourite football club – a very big clue is on the cushions!
Apprentice your work is done for today! If you want to join Niamh on our next Apprentice intake Call our HR team on 01539 735025 or E: hr@oakleatrust.co.uk
A word on National Apprenticeship Week:
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2023 is the 16th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships. The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is “Skills for Life”; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
