Last week, residents from 3 Quantum Care homes were invited to attend a performance of The Jungle Book by St John’s School in Lemsford.
The residents arrived at the
school this morning to be treated to tea, coffee and delicious cakes whilst they waited for the performance to begin. On every seat, there was also a hand drawn card with pictures of The Jungle Book and a personal message from each child to the residents. The children then came into the hall to begin what was an energetic, engaging, and passionate performance of the hit musical. After a final encore of the song Bare Necessitates, the children then spent time chatting with the residents before they left to go home.
The performance was part of a very long and much-treasured partnership between Quantum Care and St John’s School. Over the last 11 years, our care homes and the school have been involved in several collaborative projects including pen pal letters, choir performances and the annual school performance. Massive thanks go to the children and staff from the school for what was another fantastic performance.
