Staff of the Lindt Bluewater store played Easter bunnies last week, delivering some early Easter cheer to their friends at Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme.

With the ongoing pandemic proving difficult for everyone, the local Lindt team decided to go the egg-xtra mile and drop off a cracking variety of Easter treats to the residents at the over 55s Gravesend scheme.

Employees of the Lindt Bluewater store have previously visited Watling Court residents to volunteer and help them do some painting and gardening. With the current situation, the team wanted to bring a bit of cheer to the residents during a difficult time and let them know they are thinking of them and that they look forward to visiting soon.

Helen Goulding, Housing Officer of Watling Court said: “We couldn’t believe it when we opened the boxes and saw so many chocolates, so we bagged them all up and delivered them to the residents’ apartments. They were overjoyed and it really lifted their mood, they haven’t been able to eat together in the restaurant and socialise like they normally would, so it was a lovely little boost.

“We’re really grateful to the team and Lindt and are looking forward to welcoming them again at Watling Court in the hopefully not too distant future!”
