Kenwith Castle care home, set in the heart of North Devon’s countryside near Bideford, has announced Amanda Williams will become the home’s new manager.
Amanda is a very familiar face to residents and staff, as she has worked at the home since 2014. Amanda, a registered nurse, has spent the last 27 years working in health care across both NHS and the social care sector. Working for Care South has given Amanda the opportunity to experience various roles at Kenwith Castle, starting as a Sister and then moving to Deputy Home Manager in 2016 before becoming Home Manager.
Aaron Whitehead, Director of Residential Care at Care South, commented: “We are thrilled that Amanda has taken up the post of Home Manager permanently. She is an exceptional Home Manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and the staff and residents know her well. Kenwith Castle is a beautiful home with a brilliant team, and we are looking forward to seeing Amanda thrive in her new role.”
Amanda commented: “I have a deep passion, both personally and professionally, for caring for people and am really excited about the opportunity to be able to focus on developing this passion at management level and continuing to build on the reputation that Care South and Kenwith Castle already have for high-quality, person-centered care within the local community.”
