Ella has her eye on the prize!

“Do it with a great team” – an Oaklea strategic objective – bring it on says Ella!

Throughout this week we have been celebrating National Volunteers Week – getting involved in your community can take many forms – from giving time, helping a charity (like us) or taking part in an activity on a regular basis. This is where Ella from Furness touches down…

Match fit – Kit fit – Ella is GO!

Ella is a huge ruby league fan – and follows Barrow Raiders. She also plays – so do not mess!

Advantage Ella!

“Ella has been training hard this last few weeks, getting match fit. The team is off to Warrington in a couple of weeks for a competition match. She’s now into her second season with the tag rugby team – called Able Raiders – attached to Barrow Raiders Rugby League side.” Sue Mallinson, Team Manager, Barrow

This sporting life with Lisa!

Ella doesn’t just do rugby…she has her eye on archery and tennis too! You can see her with Oaklea support Lisa – it’s all about targets! (and she is smashing them!)

“Put through paces”

But there’s always time to visit the Trophy Room at Craven Park

Sue adds “Ella loves watching Barrow Raiders on a Sunday. In the off season the club put the players through their paces -keep them active with archery and tennis – this also maintains the interest in all things sporty. She’s never frightened to have a go!”

Right must dash…got some game time!

But first – Why not ‘tackle’ some more volunteering?

You can see more on volunteering efforts from earlier in the week here with Dan from Seaham and Thao from Oaklea HQ! https://www.oakleatrust.co.uk/giving-back-in-so-many-ways/ and National Volunteering Week https://volunteersweek.org/
