Residents at The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold took on the Captain Tom 100 challenge to celebrate his birthday.

The family of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore have been inviting the world to take inspiration from his famous 100 laps around his garden to celebrate Captain Tom’s life, his generosity of spirit and the hope and joy he brought to millions.

The Captain Tom 100 is taking place on what would have been his 101st birthday weekend, from Friday 30 April to Bank Holiday Monday 3 May.

Residents at OSJCT Edwardstow Court took on the challenge and decided they would plant 100 bulbs so they could enjoy the benefits of the challenge for many years to come.

Sian Howse, Deputy Manager at OSJCT Edwardstow Court, said “The residents enjoyed planting the bulbs with Wayne, our Handy person, everyone was talking about all the money Captain Tom raised last year and how they are looking forward to seeing the bulbs grow”
