Our Learning2Live young people have been busy on various work placements involving Supported Internships (find out more on Internships here https://www.right2work.org.uk/supported-internships/)

Today we caught up with Jordan – he’s been busy at Oxfam in Kendal since before Christmas – and is now part of the furniture in more ways than one!

His day starts by getting the bus from Windermere to Kendal and also a quick stop for some essential nourishment! The busy Supported Internship day then unfolds at Oxfam.

The Oxfam shop in Kendal is in the top 20 across the UK (out of more than 500 stores) They have around 80 volunteers beavering away – not at the same time we hasten to add…but it’s a veritable rabbit warren full of all kinds of goodies. One of the regular volunteers is Monica Tweddell. She has got to know Jordan really well and everyone is working well together!
