The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has once again rated Galanos House as Outstanding following their latest inspection. It’s the third consecutive time that Galanos has been rated Outstanding, and 8 years since our last inspection.
We provide care for the Armed Forces community and their families, and we’re privileged to look after those who have given so much for our country. With 101 residents, Galanos House provides residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.
Galanos also benefits from the addition of our Community Hub & Café, Southam Men’s Shed and Day Club facility which are open to the whole community.
The CQC found the home to be Outstanding for being effective, caring, responsive, and well-led, and good for safety. Inspectors praised the home’s “positive culture which allows people to live full, rich and active lives,” highlighting how colleagues bring fun, laughter, and community connections into daily life. Residents are supported to remain independent, pursue hobbies, and stay active members of the local community — all while feeling safe, respected and cared for.
Jo-Anne Wilson MBE, Registered Care Home Manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have received another Outstanding rating. This reflects the incredible teamwork, compassion, and dedication shown every day by our colleagues and volunteers. At Galanos House, we focus on creating a home where people can live with dignity, independence, and joy. It’s just wonderful to see that recognised. Congratulations to everyone at Galanos for this outstanding achievement, and for continuing to set the bar high for compassionate, person-centred care”.
