On Saturday 5th November 2022 staff from Condover College Ltd got dressed to impress and boarded a coach to the West Midlands regional final of the Great British Care Awards. The night was held at the ICC in Birmingham with all sectors of social care there, glamourous, and excited for the night ahead. The show was hosted by Steve Walls and the Dolly Show got everyone on their feet, belting out her classic tunes and the food served was a taste sensation.
After a nail-biting wait, we are so pleased and proud to announce that Condover College Ltd are the West Midlands Regional Winner for the Social Care Covid Hero Team Award and individually Katy Russell won the Dignity in Care Award. Kathryn Harris was highly commended in the Care Home Worker Award.
As Condover have finalists in the Covid Hero Team category at the Great British Care Awards, Care Talk invited 2 representatives of this team to a prestigious afternoon tea, hosted by Lord Palmer of Childs Hill OBE, on Tuesday 29th November 2022 at the House of Lords. This was such an honour to attend and meet other inspirational frontline care and support workers who have gone above and beyond during the Covid-19 pandemic.
