Ambient Support, one of the UK’s top 20 generic Not-For-Profit Health & Social Care Providers, appoints Vicky Morris as their Head of Quality.
Vicky will use her expertise to build upon her predecessor’s foundations, continuing to drive quality upwards and further embed co-production and involvement principles within Ambient’s operational environments.
After gaining a BA Hons in Social Science, Vicky began working as a Care Assistant and has progressed through various roles including Team Leader, Assistant Team Manager, Regional Manager and Head of Safeguarding and Compliance. Throughout her 25-year career, Vicky has also spent time working as a Social Care Inspector at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and studied to become a Registered Occupational Therapist.
Vicky will work with regional quality teams across the organisation and will ultimately report to Ambient’s board of trustees, she says:
“Integrity and inclusion are incredibly important to me, and I connect very deeply with Ambient’s values. I’m keen to develop the outstanding work already in place and aim to drive forward the quality of care based around individual need, encouraging continuous improvement in an honest and accountable way to ensure that the individuals we support can live life as they wish to.
“My work as CQC Inspector means I have a very clear understanding of regulations, mitigation and keeping people safe. But it’s also paramount to celebrate success and share the great achievements we make so teams and individuals across the organisation can learn and strengthen.”
Vicky will continue to run quality-driven initiatives such as the award-winning Ambient Guardians, an involvement and co-production group who are experts by experience, putting the voices of people supported by Ambient at the heart of everything the organisation does.
