Team members and residents at Care South’s Dorset House care home in Hamworthy hosted a delicious cake sale to raise awareness and money for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
Staff bought in an array of scrumptious baked goods for the cake sale, which was held outside the care home on Thursday 1st July, and raised a total of £160.00 which will go towards the hospice which helps people with life-limiting illnesses to live their precious lives well.
Debbie Preston, the home’s Manager, commented: “The cake sale was a great success, and it was lovely to see so many members of the local community pop by for such a worthy cause. Everyone had so much fun baking the cakes and of course eating them too. At Care South, it’s important to us that we participate in local events at our homes that help our residents to stay involved in their local communities.”
Dorset House care home offers residential, dementia and respite care in a homely and welcoming setting.
