Kingswinford Care Home Celebrates Double Success with CQC and GSF Recognition

Black Country Housing Group’s residential care and dementia home, New Bradley Hall, is celebrating two significant achievements after receiving a Good overall rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and securing Gold Standards Framework (GSF) re-accreditation with an exceptional score of 80 out of 82.

The CQC rated the home Good in all five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. Inspectors found residents were supported by compassionate colleagues who treated them with dignity and respect, while families praised the positive difference the team makes to their loved ones’ lives.

One resident described New Bradley Hall as a “marvellous place”, with inspectors highlighting the home’s strong sense of community, meaningful activities and commitment to helping people maintain their independence and live well.

The report also recognised a positive and supportive workplace culture, with colleague wellbeing rated Outstanding and staff speaking positively about the support they receive from managers and leaders.

Adding to the success, New Bradley Hall has achieved GSF re-accreditation, recognising the home’s outstanding approach to end-of-life care. The Gold Standards Framework is the UK’s leading quality improvement programme for end-of-life care, promoting compassionate, person-centred support that helps people live well and die with dignity.

Following the assessment, the GSF assessor said they had “no hesitation” in recommending the home for accreditation, noting that the GSF approach is fully embedded in practice. This accreditation is especially meaningful because it reflects the way staff support residents and their families through some of life’s most challenging and emotional times.

These achievements reflect the dedication, compassion and professionalism of the entire New Bradley Hall team, who continue to provide exceptional care and support to residents and their families every day.

“I would like to thank every member of the New Bradley Hall team for their hard work and commitment. These achievements recognise not only the quality of care provided but also the kindness, respect and compassion shown to residents every single day. We are incredibly proud of what has been accomplished together”, said Salma Jussab, BCHG’s Interim Head of Care.
