The Anchorage Care Home

Bev Milson, the Home Manager at The Anchorage gives her thoughts on their Outstanding rating

“The Anchorage Care Home has achieved an Outstanding rating by the CQC. This has been the best part of my job, this is what I have strived to achieve, giving our residents the best ‘home from home’ they could possibly have in their latter years. I wanted The Anchorage to stand out from other providers, being the best, we could possibly be, this could not have been achieved without the help and support of my team

This is a fantastic achievement – The Anchorage team being recognised for their dedication, passion and caring attitudes towards our ‘extended family’, highlighting the homes ethos – ‘if its good enough for Mum’ test!

The Anchorage has a strong focus on providing person centred care and ensuring all our residents are treated with dignity and respect, this achievement has highlighted the excellent work we do.

The Anchorage is clearly one of the best care homes for our residents to live in and for the staff to work in.
A few quotes from the staff. ’When people ask what you do for a living and where do you work? We can proudly say The Anchorage Care Home’.

Achieving the Outstanding means a lot, it is a good feeling knowing you are doing the best for our residents and gaining the recognition across the board.

I felt over the moon when we found out we had achieved Outstanding, it’s all about teamwork. Looking after our residents is rewarding in itself, treating them like your own family – you can’t go wrong doing that can you?

It makes me feel so proud working at The Anchorage”
