Two Weeks In – What the New Government Means for Social Care
We’re delighted to announce details of our upcoming NCF Policy and Public Affairs Network meeting!
Date: Monday 14 September 2026
Time: 15:00-16:00
Location: Online (Microsoft Teams)
Join us as we reflect on the first two weeks of the new Parliamentary session under the Burnham government and explore the latest developments in social care policy since Andy Burnham took office. We’ll discuss opportunities to influence the agenda, build connections with new ministerial teams across DHSC and MHCLG, and hear about engagement in the Big Conversation on Care.
We’ll also reflect on the latest developments relating to the Assisted Dying Bill and consider the implications for adult social care providers and the wider sector. In addition, we’ll provide updates on NCF’s NFP briefing and messaging work, alongside plans for the upcoming party conference season.
We hope you can join us and encourage you to come ready to share your own plans, reflections, and ideas.
