NCF and HRMNY to Explore How Technology Can Make Joined-Up Care Work in Practice
NCF and HRMNY will bring care providers together on 24 September for a national webinar exploring how organisations can work more effectively across the different systems, professionals and organisational boundaries involved in care and support.
The session will begin with a practical update on the recent changes affecting Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), before using DoLS as a real example of a much wider challenge.
Care providers routinely need to work with local authorities, NHS organisations, safeguarding teams, commissioners, GPs, advocates, families and other partners. Yet the technology and workflows supporting that work are often separate.

From DoLS to the Wider Challenge
DoLS will then provide a practical example of how HRMNY has approached one such challenge: enabling different organisations and professionals to work around the same person, evidence, actions and statutory process while continuing to use their existing systems.
From there, the conversation will open more widely.

The webinar will be interactive, giving members the opportunity to discuss issues emerging from practice, share examples from their own organisations and explore where better connectivity could reduce duplication, improve visibility, strengthen accountability and make statutory or regulated w ork genuinely simpler.

The session is aimed at the wider NCF membership, including leaders and colleagues working across operations, quality, safeguarding, governance, digital services, partnerships and statutory or regulated processes.
Members who identify particular challenges will also be invited to take part in follow-up discussions, co-design or testing with NCF and HRMNY.
