Dementia Care Under Covid – Lived Experiences and Lessons Learned

Dementia Care Under Covid – Lived Experiences and Lessons Learned

Lead by Dementia Care Champion, Jackie Pool, the webinar will discuss Dementia and how the lived experience of both people with Dementia and the people who support them changed under Covid, with a particular focus on person-centred care.

How can we help a person with Dementia to achieve purpose, significance, fulfilment and satisfaction even when wearing full PPE? We will look at the implications of Walking with purpose and discuss the Alzheimers Trust use of the phrase ‘Walking about’ and the nuanced differentials.

We will outline the challenges that have been overcome around all aspects of dementia care. Including; IPC, testing and social distancing and we’ll consider how we have changed our approach to supporting people living with Dementia and how Covid has positively impacted that care and support.
