Gillingham care home wears its whackiest ‘Wrong Trousers’ in aid of children’s hospital

Care South’s Fern Brook Lodge care home has taken part in Wallace and Gromit’s ‘Wrong Trousers Day’ to support Bristol Children’s hospital and many critically ill children, babies and their families who are going through the toughest time of their lives.

Wrong Trousers Day encourages people to wear outlandish and silly trousers to work, school or just out and about, and has been an outstanding success to-date, raising much-needed funds for many children in hospitals and hospices.

Jan Howell, Activities Lead at Fern Brook Lodge, commented: “Staff donned their weirdest, whackiest and most wonderful wrong trousers for such a deserving cause. Everyone had a fantastic time getting involved and it certainly put a smile on our residents faces too, especially when they saw chef Darren in his clown trousers. Wrong Trouser Day is officially on Friday 2nd July, but anyone can take part earlier if they wish to do so. It will be great to see others taking part to help boost community spirit and to raise money and awareness for the Children’s Hospital.”
