Oakmoor Lodge’s Christmas Message
We all love a good party here at Quantum Care and everyone is throwing themselves into the festive season. Here you can see team members and residents at Oakmoor Lodge, our newest care home, having a singsong during their Christmas Party.
Community Challange at Quantum Care
October saw residents and staff in all of our Quantum Care homes take part in the Quantum Care Community Challenge. It was a month long event which aimed to raise the awareness of our homes within the local community in which they are based as well as ensuring that our residents are seen as a central and valued part of their local communities.
The event consisted of 15 separate challenges, with half of the challenges encouraging people from the local community to visit the home and the other half seeing residents and staff leave the home to interact with their local community in some way. This was a competitive challenge between all of our homes, with the successful completion of each challenge awarding a set number of points and the promise of prizes for the winners.
We were completely thrilled by the sheer determination of our amazing teams to get involved. Nearly all of our homes completed their challenges and went through to the next stage which involved doing a spectacular community event. The final winners were Oakmoor Lodge in Bushey whose tie-breaker was a 60s themed party for residents, families, community friends who helped complete challenges along the way and some new community friends.
Following the event, feedback from residents, families and friends was incredibly positive. Everybody had a such a fun time, but the most impressive thing however, is the number of new connections made for each of our homes and the fact that those connections will last on into the future
