Today we have three inspiring stories from our members
Celebrating a decade of care and support at MioCare
It’s been a whole decade since the MioCare Group was created, with services continuing to support people to get the most out of life. It’s a massive achievement! Everyone who has been involved with the Group, both past and present, should be very proud. It’s a milestone well worth celebrating, and people have been doing just that in different locations across Oldham throughout 2023.
Happy 10th birthday, MioCare!
MioCare’s Spectrum Colour Walk
Many of MioCare’s services actively support autistic people, and so across the Group folks were keen to take part and contribute to Autism Acceptance Week.
One way to mark the occasion was through a ‘Spectrum Colour Walk’, where people got together in some of their brightest threads, and enjoyed a communal walk to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
The walk was hosted by the Group’s Learning Disability Wellbeing Service at Chadderton Hall Park, alongside colleagues who make up MioCare’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Together group.
A rainy day that was brightened up by getting together and raising some money for a good cause, too.
Relive the magic of the Sheffcare residents’ Christmas party!
The cherished memories of joy, laughter, and holiday cheer linger in the air from the festive celebration that took place. The room was adorned with delightful decorations, and the sound of familiar carols filled the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. In this heartwarming video, witness the smiles that lit up the room as our residents came together to share in the festive spirit.
