Skills for Care and the Care Provider Alliance (CPA) offered workshops during 2017 and 2018 to bring social care leaders up to date with ongoing changes and requirements around Information Governance, General Data Protection Regulations and Cybersecurity. These workshops were part of the National Information Board’s Building a Digital Ready Workforce programme managed by Health Education England and NHS Digital, which aimed to equip the social care and health workforce with the confidence and competence to utilise digital ways of working to improve health and care.
Workshops were aimed at senior managers, registered managers or a person within the organisation who has a direct responsibility for Information Governance. Places are open to any care provider.
Participants received:
- the latest information on compliance – featuring updates on Information Governance, GDPR, Cybersecurity and the CQC’s ‘Well-Led’ Data Security key lines of enquiry
- Understanding of the next steps for their organisation to ensure safe and effective use of data in line with the CQC’s ‘Well-Led’ Data Security key lines of enquiry
- Learnt from employers how approaches to Information Governance and digital ways of working can transform service provision and understand how to apply this back in their own organisation.
