Palliative and End of Life Care Awards

We’re proud to support the inaugural Palliative and End of Life Care Awards.

Nominations for the inaugural Palliative & End-of-Life Care Awards are now OPEN until April 1st.

The aim of the awards is to pay tribute to individuals and organisations who provide high-quality, person centred, end of life and palliative care – enabling people to have a Good Life and a Good Death; recognising accomplishments at all levels from within the social care workforce.  These include services for older people, people with learning disabilities and/or autism, volunteers and suppliers of innovative products and services.

There are a variety of categories available for nomination that represents all areas of palliative and end of life care in a social care, hospice or community setting – all with the common thread of celebrating outstanding excellence, best practice, dedication and innovation within this domain.

Vis Rayner said: “On behalf of NCF and our members I’m delighted to lend our support to the Palliative Care Awards. The care and support delivered every day within social care settings and the compassion shown to people nearing the end of life, or in their very last days, makes such a lasting difference. I’m thrilled that in these inaugural awards the skills and expertise displayed by staff in social care settings is being recognised as it rightly should be. The difference this kindness and care makes to people and their families at an incredibly difficult time can’t be underestimated, and the professionalism shown by care workers, managers, ancillary staff and others should rightly be celebrated. I applaud everyone nominated in these awards and thank them for their tireless commitment to excellence. Best of luck to all.”
