New dashboards launched to track recruitment and retention

Skills for Care has added two new tracking dashboards to their suite of workforce intelligence visualisations. The dashboards focus on recruitment and retention and will provide quarterly insights on the make-up of the adult social care workforce.

One dashboard is about international recruitment and presents an estimate of the number of people who have been recruited internationally to start a direct care providing role. It shows quarterly trends and a breakdown across service types and regions.

The other new dashboard shows filled posts, starter rate, turnover rate and vacancy rate, broken down by geography. It also presents changes on a quarterly basis across each integrated care board area in England.

Will Fenton, Head of Analytics at Skills for Care said:

Decision makers in the sector have told us how useful it is to have frequently updated data available, so we’re pleased to be able to produce these insights quarterly. With employers relying more on international recruitment over the last year, the new international recruitment dashboard will help Government and other stakeholders understand changes in the supply of the workforce.”

Skills for Care is able to produce these insights thanks to the valuable data provided by organisations who use the Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS). Alongside providing vital data for the sector, ASC-WDS also provides benefits for care providers. They can access funding for training, free management of training records, benchmarking on workforce metrics and access to the Benefits Bundle.  Find out more here.
