We are delighted to share that the National Care Forum is now officially Disability Confident Committed.

The Disability Confident scheme is a government initiative that helps employers think differently about disability and take positive action to improve how disabled people and those with long-term health conditions are recruited, supported, and developed in the workplace.

As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we have pledged to:

• Ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible, removing unnecessary barriers so disabled people can apply and take part fully.
• Communicate and promote job opportunities clearly and widely, making it clear we welcome applications from disabled people.
• Offer interviews to disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role, giving them a fair opportunity to demonstrate their skills.
• Provide reasonable adjustments and support wherever needed, both during recruitment and throughout employment.
• Support employees who have or develop a disability or long-term health condition, helping them to remain in work and thrive.

This is an important step in our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace for all.
