Celebration of Namaste Care
The Association for Dementia Studies invites you to a celebration of Namaste Care on 24 September 2019 (10.00-16.00) at the University of Worcester Arena.
Namaste Care is a multi-component daily intervention designed to improve the care experiences of people living with advanced dementia. Originally developed in the USA, the Alzheimer’s Society and the Association for Dementia Studies have completed a 3-year process evaluation to explore the implementation and impact of Namaste Care in UK care homes.
At this event you will:
- Hear from Joyce Simard the inspirational creator of Namaste Care
- Watch the premier of ‘Seeing is Believing’, the Namaste Care Intervention UK film
- Learn about the impact of Namaste Care and guidance for implementation
- Hear from the care home managers and staff about their experiences of implementing Namaste Care
Anyone working with people living with advanced dementia or who is interested in improving care for people living with advanced dementia in care homes, hospitals or in the community.
