Implications of UK vote to leave the EU on Adult Social Care

On 1 July 2016 a wide range of sector leaders and providers came together to discuss some of the immediate and future implications of the UK vote to leave the European Union. The purpose of the meeting was to scope out immediate concerns or actions and to begin to think through the longer term implications.

Whilst there are clearly many angles to this discussion – these five core areas encapsulated many of the headlines that had been discussed within organisations and in the media over recent days.

  • Workforce
  • Older and Disabled People and their carers
  • Funding
  • Costs
  • Development

Attached is a presentation prepared by Vic Rayner, NCF Executive Director, to give you some of the strategic headlines. Please feel free to adapt and use it to meet your organisational need – to share with staff, board and partners.
