Coverage Care Services, the not-for- profit adult care provider has become the latest NCF Member to deploy DeChoker devices across all their homes to meet the increasingly complex level of needs being faced by the sector.
The exclusively Shropshire based operator has 14 homes for older people, people with disabilities and those with age-related conditions across the county and has a ‘Focus on achieving the highest standards we can for those who put their trust in us’. says Operations Director, Debbie Price.
‘We are seeing the risk of choking increasing as the nature of people’s conditions and frailty has increased.’ she continued. ‘We are always looking at how we can embrace technology to improve the quality of our care for benefit of all of our staff and residents.’
Coverage Care were able to implement the Anti-Choking equipment across their portfolio quickly and safely by taking advantage of DeChoker’s Train The Trainer option.
‘With an eye to the future, this will allow all new staff joining the company to be trained in how to use the life-saving equipment during induction, with an annual refresher for all staff.’ said Matt Oakley, CEO of Dechoker UK
‘We are pleased to be furthering our relationships with members of the NCF, and will continue to support both them and the providers they work with to help reduce choking related deaths in the sector.’ he added.
