Last month, Claire Sutton, NCF Digital Transformation Lead, attended the APPG for Assistive Technology on Smart Homes and the Future of Social Care meet.

The outcomes briefing, which captures the key findings from the discussion can be downloaded here.

The smart homes meeting was only the beginning of the APPG’s broader ongoing engagement with social care and independent living.

This briefing will soon be published on the Policy Connect website and circulated to Parliamentarians, government officials and other key stakeholders with an interest the role of technology in social care and independent living.

The findings will also be fed into our interactions with government, including our response to the Department for Health and Social Care’s Green Papers on prevention and adult social care as well as the government’s forthcoming reviews of the Disabled Facilities Grant and accessible housing.
