We love to ‘tackle’ the big issues when it comes to anything sporty – well we may have scored a try on this one when it comes to having a MAGIC time!

Oaklea’s very own Barrow based Raider (!) Sue Mallinson tells us what Ella got up to: “She has recently joined Advantage Able Raiders, it is a group created by Barrow Raiders Rugby for people with Learning Difficulties. The guys train weekly and play tag rugby. They were also on Granada Reports TV last Thursday accepting some funding from The Peoples Project.”

In between dodging drop kicks Sue continues: “The Agility Raiders as the group are known went to the Magic Rugby Weekend last Saturday at Newcastle’s St James Park and were entered into a competition just for the experience. On top of this they met some of the professional players and their Mascot.”

Such days don’t happen by accident – Ella went with Oaklea’s Jo Atkinson and as we can see they thoroughly enjoyed it! Dare we say…..it was M-A-G-I-C!
